Logic question: How to layer multiple synths

Post by Paulie » Tue Feb 16, 2016 6:18 pm

I'd like to stack multiple Logic synths so that I can play them all at once, e.g., an ES M plus an ES P plus an Absynth pad underneath. Besides playing it once and then copying data to each instrument, is there a way to play all three at one time? The Instrument Channel is grayed out, meaning I can't change it.

Nevermind...

Create new Track Stack, choose Summing Stack. Done.

In Tracktion, you just route your input track's output to any track with a synth and any synth set to receive the same MIDI channel will respond. You could also instantiate all three synths on a single track and create layers at the controller end, if you need them to respond to different velocities.
