Bounce this off of you for some feedback

Post by mrdtman » Sun May 01, 2016 12:38 pm

I was working on a listing once for a hip hop cue for one of those reality show listings - think it was Ink or something like that they gave for a reference - anyway, didn't complete it on time but kind of liked it so I kept it, thought I can use for something later. Have been meaning to post it up here for some comments.

2 versions, 1 version w/o piano:

Would appreciate your thoughts.

Nice one Duane! :D
I'm not a Hip Hop guy so I'll leave mix comments for someone who is...
But it sure works for me as a Hip Hop Cue
Good work!

I'm no expert, but here are my impressions.

Good use of repeated motif.

Could use some pad swells, here and there, to add interest, propel things.

I could hear this in a network drama more than a reality show.

Good work, thus far!!
