Anyone had a problem with tracks missing from an offline bounce.
I had an audio track disappear from the bounced file. I can bounce all the tracks in real time but when I bounce offline the lead vocal is missing.
It happened after I did a bounce without the vocal.
Iv'e checked the bounce destination and all my io.
I disabled all plugins and automation and the problem was still there. It was the largest session I have had for automation and plugs.
I duplicated the problem track [the vocal aux/sub] as well as the vocal track feeding it. I can get some audio from it but not all. It's weird.
The next step will be to create a couple of new tracks and then drag the plugins and regions across to see if that fixes it.
At the moment it seems like one or two of the tracks are corrupt??
I trashed pro tools prefs too, didn't seem to change much except it made me change my routing. I actually went through nearly every bus and output re connecting paths.
Hopefully it will only apply to this session and maybe the new tracks with the plugs and clips dragged across might work when I try it tomorrow.
It's been smooth sailing for a while, I was starting to forget what these little niggles are.
Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar problem.

Re: pro tools 11 offline bounce problem
That's bizarre. Never had that happen before. Here's a super-silly question... are you sure that lead vocal track isn't muted?
Does this problem happen on all sessions, or just one? Try opening another project and see if the same thing happens. Worst case scenario if it's an isolated problem unique to one session is that you'll have to "real-time" bounce it. Not a major issue... unless you're Meat Loaf or Tool and happen to record 10 minute songs.

Re: pro tools 11 offline bounce problem
Hi Matt, no it's not muted.
I did a lot of trouble shooting. Don't worry, quite often it's those "this might sound silly but.........." questions that are the solution.
I can bounce in real time on this session and all is ok. Haven't tried on another session yet. Hopefully that will be ok.
I got a feeling it's just this session.
I will do more investigating. Might check the disk for errors too. There's not a lot on the internet relating to this problem.
I don't won't to devote too much time to it if it's a one off but I'll do a bit more checking.

Re: pro tools 11 offline bounce problem
I still can't figure out why I can bounce in real time in this session but can't bounce offline.
Some tracks bounce okay but others don't.
Thankfully it only appears to be in this session, but I am suspicious of my audio drive.
It checked ok for disc errors but last night the partition sort of unmounted- lost the name I gave it and disappeared from the desktop.
Disk utility got it back but I dunno. It's six years old and it's been a noisy one too so...... Lester is looking for a new hard drive.
It was only a few days before this that I dumped my audio and libraries to an external drive.
Am I psychic or did I cause this to happen?
