Re: Acoustic Guitar Processing
Reading your post actually made me think about there adverts, and you're spot on... this dude has no vocal tonality.. it's more of a talking thing really...hahahahahaha....I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get the gig - I'm sure they would have thrown in a complementary tax disc holder - no wait ... ...don't forget that their songs have rediculous questions like....1) do you want savings ? er No, I like debt2) do you wanna watch your investment grow? sounds kinky3) are you tired of paying tax? that's pretty redundant!!!!I got one for emCome to Halifax, where you won't pay tax,but you'll be associated with a rediculous imaged man who like mention drives you to the point of vomiting.I think Auto-Tune was created for sumin like that ...Yeah sorry to anyone who's music's been placed in Halifax... not saying sorry coz you gotta read this, I just feel for you ... just kidding!!!

2008

That's almost a whole decade, like going from the 60's to the 70's

davekershaw wrote:Nothing so sophisticated for me Devin. The mic's going straight into a Presonus Firebox.I look forward to trying it tomorrow.Sounds like I'll need to run the cables through to another room.I got away with it with the AT2020, but looks like the 012 will pick up all my computer noise etc.I need an assistant! When I use another room it means setting a count in long enough to move to the other room, get the headphones on, pick up the guitar, get comfortable and wait for the tracks to roll. How many times I've done that, then realised I left my glasses in the studio, so can't read the music sheet! Don't suppose I'm the only one!
There are apps for iOS and Android that let you remotely control most DAWs from your phone, if you have a home wi-fi network, but if you don't, a Bluetooth keyboard can fire off commands from up to 35 feet away. In most rooms, the display and the computer will be close together, so it helps if you have a big screen. Sometimes, it's helpful to record acoustic instruments a couple rooms distant from the presumably noisy recording device, if it has fans and traditional spinning-disk hard drives.

Re: Acoustic Guitar Processing
I use a Fishman Aura Spectrum DI Acoustic Guitar Preamp.
If I hadn't encountered this device at a studio I was recording an album in, I wouldn't have believed what I'm about to tell you:
It sounded better than a mic!! So I bought one.
