Hi again Henrietta,

I'm afraid I'm so ignorant of all social media things - even struggle to navigate Facebook - I haven't yet figured out how the PM thing works, whether there is already a message I need to be reading, if I just look in the right place, wherever that may be.

I don't think aspies adapt to change very well - I even find this site a bit disorientating, which is why I've avoided using it properly for the 5 years I've been a Taxi member. I'm ok sticking a stamp on a letter, recording on a cassette (yeah, remember them? I still love em) but I invested in Pro-Tools 11 a couple of years ago and thought they'd accidentally sent me one of NASA's mission control panels - I only wanted to record music not launch 15 rockets.

Mind you, I don't think even Apollo 13 could have lifted the manual off the ground had I bothered to print it out - I've made that mistake a few times "Let's print the manual out!" then 3 days later I feel like I've printed the entire internet - and that's just Band In a Box (for simpletons like me) FL Studio and a Yamaha 4416 hardware DAW.

I'm rambling again. This is normal for me I'm afraid.

I'll explain the following "daft idea" you can take or leave, when I've figured out the PM thing - Give me a few days! I have a brain the size of a walnut when it comes to these things.

But briefly, immediately after writing that last post I automatically started singing a rather unusual but potentially very commercial "never been done before" simple lyric over your tune and figured it's worth mentioning to you JUST IN CASE you like the idea and the tune is indeed still yours to do what you want with it - It's a pain when you have a great idea and someone has signed the song, won;t re-assign despite reversion clause being up - But it's worth a mention in private anyway as it was one of those "lightbulb" moments. I'll give you a clue - A CHRISTMAS SONG WITH A DIFFERENCE!

It's very hard to make a Christmas song stand out - But this is one idea that MAY, just MAY get DJ's thinking "Yeah! I WANNA play that every Christmas" - Because it's unique - At least I think so -

I'd better check it's not been done before - although it never stopped good old Katy Perry re-doing the I KISSED A GIRL idea - A lot better than the original it has to be said. It didn't go unnoticed either that Mike Leander's "Glitter beat" and "all strings tuned to A" guitar riffs got re-used with a bit of spit n polish. If I play just the start of ROCK N ROLL part 2, (the huge Gary Glitter/Mike Leander 70's hit that I think goes under a different name in the US - The one played at sports events) young people think I'm playing I KISSED A GIRL - so there's not really that much that really is "new" out there - I'm hearing some blatant rip-off's on adverts these days - don't know how they're getting away with changing just two notes.

No worry if you don't like the idea even in principle - It was just a thought that came to mind without effort, so nothing lost if accidental collaboration is not your thing - It's not my thing either TBH but seemed too good to pass up - and it was only your tune that inspired me.

I'll try to figure the PM thing tomorrow - it's 3am here.

Cheerio

Steve

That's so great Henrietta. I listened to it and immediately wanted to get up and move around this morning! Did you perform this all on a synthesizer? Susan

Jerry, Steve, Stevetwosheds, and Susan -- thank you!

This was my first forward and I have had nine since then. I was surprised to see it here, as I got it back in January 2016!

Susan, this was the Logic X accordion sample. There are some other inexpensive ones through places like 8dio from about 20-40 dollars.

Very happy for you Henrietta, you so deserve this , you are always there supporting and sharing good will towards others , Our dreams are fragile and disbelief is the enemy, the first forward is a validation and such a boost for self belief, to create feelgood happy music is a gift and its a beautiful piece , well done again Henrietta.
