Great song!

It sounds like you hit the nail on the head with this one. It is very Katy Perry :) I wish you much luck with it. It is not easy to get a forward on these high bar listings, so kudos to you!

Hi,

Nice jam, fits the listing perfectly. Production was solid, vocals were great, and since lyrics really do matter, the words told the story with a storyline flow. Dug it, congrats as always!

Yikes, that's a good track! I couldn't fault it. Read the lyric cold and couldn't fault it - wished I could write that naturally - Listened from my kitchen (favourite place!) and couldn't fault it - Listened again from in front of speakers - Still couldn't fault it - Sounded like it belonged on radio! Loved every single element.

The only downside is that my own music now sounds twice as bad! Why d'ya have to be so good!

But seriously, fingers crossed for you that you end up with a big chart hit here - It would be well deserved.

Steve

PS - Didn't I hear it on TTV recently? It's so much easier to judge just HOW good it is when it's not going via Michael Laskow's laptop mic - Very powerful and well produced - Bet you had great fun making it.

Thank you, Steve! This just made my day! :D

So glad you enjoyed listening to Turn Me Up! I hope you danced along in the kitchen as well!

Delighted you like the lyrics! I derive tremendous joy and creative fulfillment from hearing my words brought to life with music - and voice.

PS - Didn't I hear it on TTV recently? It's so much easier to judge just HOW good it is when it's not going via Michael Laskow's laptop mic - Very powerful and well produced - Bet you had great fun making it.

Yes, correct on two counts! 1) Turn Me Up was recently reviewed on TAXI TV by Robin Frederick and 2) We did, indeed, have great fun making this song. :D

I think Jan did a wonderful job both in capturing my intent for this song and in producing it. I consider myself fortunate to have a collaborative songwriting partner who is not only talented but also champions and supports my lyric writing process - and creative quirkiness, so to speak.
