iZotope Nectar 2 Production Suite

Hi all,

I'm thinking about buying iZotope Nectar 2 Production Suite because it's on sale, which is always the best reason to buy something.

Does anybody know if it works? I do audiobooks as well as TAXI stuff.

I don't know if I'd be just as well off buying another mic.

Does it work? Yup. Will it work for what you have in mind? I dunno. Depending on what you already have, it might be overkill; for instance, if you have a good vocal channel strip, some decent reverbs/delays and Melodyne, Nectar is only offering an integrated environment and a bunch of presets. Even so, it might help you work faster than stringing a bunch of individual plugins together. OTOH, if you just needed the plate reverb, Valhalla's is only fifty bucks.

I bought it and I love it.

I am a composer not a producer. I want to spend more time composing and less on producing.
I think both Nectar and Ozone are good enough to get me where I want fast regarding the mix/mastering.

I'm doing some major mixing/mastering in August so it will be interesting to see the result. I mainly do instrumental stuff, but this time it's with vocals.
