Ever since my girlfriend headed west

When she first accused me of shootin’ from the hip
I tried actin’ innocent and playin’ dumb
I swore nothing happened while on that business trip
But that steamy photo was a smoking gun

Ever since my lady headed west

One more bottle from the old corner market
One more evening with a lotta time to kill
Though tomorrow is a fast moving target
