Hello fellow Taxi Forum members!

My name is Jake Shives. I earn my living in the city of Detroit as a Recording / Mixing engineer.

I have my degrees in audio engineering, music production, and certifications with Protools and Waves Plug-ins.

Along with my formal education, I have over 25,000 hours of in-studio experience under my belt.


The reason I am posting in Collaboration Corner is because it's that time of year again, when the studio business slows down here in Detroit.


Around this time of year, I go sifting through the internet to get side gigs that can help pay the bills.


If you want a professional mix of your tunes, I can offer a very reasonable rate for the next couple months until the Studio work picks up here again.


I have mixed on nearly every brand of console in the industry, including: SSL, Neve, Api, Harrison, Trident, etc...

I work on most genres of music excluding rap & metal. I find that my talent lent themselves to singer/songwriters & bands.
