I demoed Vitamin. Sounds good and I would buy it if I didn't already have this one. http://www.crysonic.com/nxtasyv3.html
Crysonic are a weird company, their service isn't up to much and their plugins generally aren't great but this one is very useful.

Re: Those 'Secret Weapon' Plugins
So how does Vitamin compare to Melda's MMultibandTransient??
Vitamin is on sale for $79
Sale price for Melda, $57, when it gets included in the 1/2 off, 4 plugins each week for life sale.
Vitamin
http://www.waves.com/plugins/vitamin#en ... th-vitamin
6 bands versus 5
3 crossover algorithms, versus 1, analog, linear phase, and hybrid
Control over the mix of the direct signal with the enhanced version-yes
zero latency depends on which crossover algorithm used, linear phase has some latency, and
hybrid, not as much
4 fully-featured modulators which can control any set of parameters including other modulators Each modulator works as an LFO, level follower, midi/audio triggered ADSR enveloper, randomizer or pitch detector, or even a combination and can listen to the plugin\'s side-chain.
provides an integrated tube saturation simulator, which can get your audio the great vintage analog feel and high-end sparkle.
can handle not only mono and stereo signals, but also mid/side encoding for stereo field processing, separate left & right channels, separate mid or side signal and up to 8 channels of surround audio.
Adjustable up-sampling 1x-16x
It uses 64-bit audio processing and can handle any sampling rate. It does not make much sense to go over 192kHz, but if you think it is a good idea, the plugin can do that.

Check out this nice gem.. Acustica D361A modeled after the Dolby unit. Adds that "magic" to anything it touches.

My take is that you can trade ease of use for complexity; the balance is in your control. Your choice probably depends on the material and your goals for same.Len911 wrote:So how does Vitamin compare to Melda's MMultibandTransient??
