Dear All,
For quite some time I have been looking for a way to improve my workflow when it comes to editing multiple midi tracks within the same song. I am mainly using Logic Pro X but from time to time I also use PT when I have to edit multiple midi tracks. I am really curious how other LP X users go about that. It is really a pity that Logic after all that time still does not allow for (at least rudimentary) midi editing directly within the Arrangement Window. I have seen workarounds but none of them really convinced me. In PT it is so easy to quickly put stuff together (e.g. a string quartet, drums or keys vs. bass) and to arrange midi tracks directly within the Arrangement Window but I 'grew up' with Logic and would like to keep it (I put in so much time learning keyboard shortcuts asf.).
Please let me know your thoughts.
Cheers,
Matt

Transfer the Logic keyboard shortcuts to Pro Tools by creating your own keyboard shortcuts.but I 'grew up' with Logic and would like to keep it (I put in so much time learning keyboard shortcuts asf.).

Re: Editing multiple Midi tracks
In Logic, if you're using the Piano Roll editor you can open multiple midi tracks by selecting them in the arrange window and then pressing the number 6 and see all of your parts in the same screen.

Re: Editing multiple Midi tracks
Hi Elser,
Unfortunately, this does not seem to work on my machine but in the meantime I found out that it is possible to edit all midi tracks simultaneously and within the same window when using the score editor (just open the orchestral template and you will know what I am looking for)! The Score editor seems to be the only workaround I came across so far, even though it is a bit silly editing drum tracks in traditional notation
and obviously it only works as long as stuff is 100 % quantised... Strange to say why they offer that functionality only within the score editor and not within the Piano Roll or the Arrangement Window (since it is obviously possible from a technical perspective).
Cheers,
Matt
