Sound Exchange

I just signed 2 songs to a music publishing library/label....my first deal since joining Taxi. They are saying I don't need to list the recordings and performers with Sound Exchange. Isn't this how the players/singers get some performance compensation?

I don't know anything about Sound Exchange, but I get my performance royalties through my PRO, SOCAN. Aren't you registered with BMI or ASCAP?
