Question about MainStage 3 and controller keyboard
Hi there!
I just bought MainStage 3 'cause I needed a software for my live gigs. Mainly so I can scroll between different sounds (like piano, organ, synth lead and so on) using a physical button on my controller keyboard.
By default between MainStage and my controller keyboard, this didn't happen.
I need help to address the "set up/down" and "patch up/down" in Perform mode to my controller keyboard. I can't find a way to do that. When I google it all articles point to the "Layout", but I can't find anything there that helps me with this.
Grateful for any help!

As I understand it, you would send a midi program change message from your controller to select the patches, and it appears that a set is a group of patches, and because you can't change sets from a controller, then you should include all patches in the set that you may need?

Re: Question about MainStage 3 and controller keyboard
I'm sorry, but this still doesn't answer my question.
I simply need my controller keyboard to act as an up/down arrow (as found on a typing keyboard).
It seems to be extremely difficult just to do this "simple" thing.

Re: Question about MainStage 3 and controller keyboard
I think the first method is more for if the computer is remote from your position and you don't need to see it, just enter program changes for the patch and go, while the second method is if you have the computer close and prefer to use your keyboard controller like a daw controller, at least as far as the scrolling buttons and needing to see the computer screen, because the other things like volume controls, you don't really need to see the computer screen.

Re: Question about MainStage 3 and controller keyboard
After a lot of work I found a way to assign some of the buttons (not the ones I wanted). So it works ok, and it's better than nothing...
