Good suggestion - thank you, both. I am a TAXI member but had forgotten about the Custom Critique feature. Have now! It'll be nice to have a critique without Return written next to it! :)

I've had some pretty good luck with airgigs.com. Using their vocalists I've had two songs signed to Taxi friendly libraries and had one female pop/R&B song forwarded to a major label. No placements yet though... I'll check out the other sites mentioned too.

Previously I've had success finding singers several places:

The Muscians Junction at Taxi http://www.musiciansjunction.com/juncti ... ntact.html
The forums is also a great place if you hear other Taxi members who's voice you like, PM them
SingersPro https://www.singerspro.com
Demosinger.com
Pure Vocals http://www.purevocals.org
MySpace (I used to surf the site for new singers, and got contacted myself too) https://myspace.com/discover/songs
Demostudio websites (the singers they have listed, often can record at home as well, so you don't always have to go through the studios)
Also use local talent, and put the best on a list to call when you need their services.

Useful tips:

Remember ALWAYS to get the proper paperwork in order up front. No need to pay 120bucks for a singer, if you don't get a signed contract, because you won't be able to use the track legally. Can't underline this enough, it means everything, no matter where you find the singers.

The deals I've done range from 50$-140$ work-for-hire, or a percentage of the master (p). Actually up to 50% of the master, in the case I really believe in the singer and don't pay anything up front. A great singer can really make and break the song.

If you get a Taxi critique, remember to provide feedforward as well. Like, which type of vocal would work for this song? Who could be soundalikes for this song? That type of feedback you can use to screen and audition singers.
