First Forward - Sad, Melancholy Instrumental
Hi everyone,
I have been lurking for a couple months, and decided to dive into taxi about a month ago. My second submission with TAXI 'Distant Memories' was forwarded. From what I have read around here so far, it looks like an amazing community and I am excited to be a part of it.
You can listen to my submission here:

Cheers!
The Listing:
SAD, MELANCHOLY INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a great, NON-Exclusive Music Library with a long history of placements, primarily, but not entirely on Reality TV Shows. They need Instrumental Cues in a range of styles and tempos.
Please listen to these references to get an idea of the broad range of styles that could work for this pitch:
Extreme Makeover: (starting at 1:15 to 3:00) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nMrFh-RJMA
America's Next Top Model: (starting at 3:13 to 4:10) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdASrSBndC8
Undercover Boss: (starting at 0 to 1:12) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahJ3PBD6n48
Please send subtle, somber Melancholy Underscore Cues that can be as simple as a solo piano, a piano with a small string section, or fuller pieces that combine synth pads with orchestral instruments. As long as your piece evokes emotions like sadness, regret, or longing, and it doesn’t get too big or dramatic, you should be in the range of what this Music Library needs. All submissions should be at least 2:00 minutes in length or longer. Non-faded endings are highly recommended.
Do NOT copy or rip off the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed (great sounding home recordings are fine). This company offers a Non-Exclusive deal. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share and applicable performance royalties. You must own or control your Master and Copyright. Please submit one to three Instrumental Cues online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a Yes/No basis by a TAXI screener handpicked by the Music Library Owner. No full critiques. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59PM (PDT), on Sunday, May 14th, 2017. TAXI #Y170514MC

Nice piece you've written there, I could definitely hear it being used on something. One tiny nitpick was the end was a bit ambiguous ...congrats on the forward and welcome

Thank you very much. I do appreciate the feedback, and I agree. I sort of felt the same way before I submitted it, and was second guessing whether or not the ending was a bit vague..cosmicdolphin wrote:Nice piece you've written there, I could definitely hear it being used on something.
