TAXI is the tool for the job!

Like many specialties music for entertainment is a closed shop. You simply can't get your work to the right people ("Buyers") without inside knowledge or access. If you've tried like me you know this is true. Michael and TAXI have opened the door by providing excellent customer service and first rate musical knowledge! Their credibility is my ticket to ride up the industry food chain. I've been writing music by avocation for almost 50 years; clearly,some better than others. Have recorded some CD's and had other artists track a few of my songs. After health issues forced retirement from "the real world" of work in 2016, I rejoined TAXI and got serious about this vocation now six months ago. In 2017, I've responded to about 75 listings with around 100 compositions (again, some better than others). I've had eight forwards that by extension with the music libraries who signed my work have turned into 20 songs and cues now available to the buyers I could never have gotten to other wise. No placements yet but that's a matter of time I believe. Point is....I'm in the game, on the field, in the house...however you want to say it. I'm very hopeful for some other pending submissions that I believe have potential. Plus, I've been motivated to begin writing in areas that are new to me and creative juices continue to flow. Never thought orchestral cues were a possibility but now think I'm close to breaking through with a signing. Here's an old dog learning new tricks. I wouldn't be doing it withour TAXI!

Motivation is a wonderful thing, and whatever gets you there is great. The fact that it happens to be Taxi with its door-opening potential and fantastic support network makes it all the more sweet. Its great to hear that you've taken on new genres and feel inspired. Go for it!!

Thanks for the encouragement folks. Just took a licking from a reviewer on some orchestral cues I submitted for custom reviews. Reviewer #369, who ever you are, I'm grateful for your candor, insight and great suggestions. I'm pretty determined to hit the "cue ball" out of the park. Got some work to do and your thoughts will be very helpful. Fortunately, while waiting for your response, a production library signed another of my songs. Thankful for that and glad I don't have to feed myself off of cues yet!

The bright side of permanent, total disability is TIME to get get better at stuff you want to be good at! Best of luck to all.

Would love to hear some of the cues that got signed. Getting signed is where it isn't working for me.
