You certainly have some nice contemporary sounds on your Soundcloud page.

I think if you listen carefully to the a las, and write specifically for the listings, that you'll have success.

Once you've narrowed down which genres you want to write for (which is a journey in itself) you can seek out advice from the people who are getting forwards and deals in your genres. The old timers around here give great advice and are generous.

Then it's a question of time, patience and hard work.

Welcome!! You've made the right choice by coming to the forums, also make sure to tune in to Taxi tv every Monday. Seriously - become active in this wonderful community and you will see rapid growth and success. This community is SO full of amazingly generous and kind people. I've learned SO much in the last (almost) two years. Looking at what I was doing before joining until now - it's been quite a steep improvement. Best of luck!!

Your music sounds very contemporary and broadcast quality already so you already have a headstart on many Taxi newbies.

If you can produce enough tracks to build up a decent sized catalogue and target the right listings I think you could do really well.

Welcome Micky! Mark is correct, you've made the right choice. Make sure to target the best listings for you and pay attention to ALL the brief details. Get in the habit of writing custom to the briefs and get accustomed to working fast and smooth. Come back here often and get tips, also post on P2P and make sure you're on track or get some last minute pointers on a track. Also listen to forwarded material for listings you are interested in - to really help understand where the bar is and how to improve any where you possibly can to get a good head start. Best of luck!
