Hi Michael,
I love this track, it really evokes the style and feel of the listing to my mind, however, I do agree with some of the other members
that the vocal ( as great as it is ) overpowers the music.
If it were me, I would lower the level of the vocal to where it plays a more supportive role, and raise the whole level of the track.
just my humble opinion.

Right now I'm in the weeds about bass in the back half, and adding some flourishes. Hard to keep it simple!
