Hi Len,

Thank you for sharing this tho it may not have been easy to do so. Anything can happen to any of us at any given time. I am so aware if it. We have heart disease in my family, my Dad, also a musician, passed from it at 83 a few years ago, and he had a run with it since he was 45. I take baby aspirin every night before I turn in. For those of you who don't know, it is recommended as an aid towards the prevention of stroke and heart attacks, especially 50 years and older.
I admire the progress you have made since the stroke. It demonstrates no towel throwing in my eyes. And you will only get better.

You have been very helpful to me on this forum and I'm sure you will be again.

I can relate to the papers and tobacco as I use to roll my own as well. For a year or so after I stopped, I had no papers, only the tobacco. I was saving it for a rainy day! Which never came..I finally threw out the stale, crumbly American Spirit tobacco.

I will be sending you positive ions and look forward to hearing how you are progressing.

Take good care,

Linda

Prayers for your full recovery. You have a terrific attitude, so I know you'll do great. I have a clue what you're going through, having recently had two tastes of the one-armed 'lifestyle'; the idea of being unable to wipe one's own butt is sobering, to say the least. Your independent spirit will stand you in good stead.

Oh crap Len. That sucks bud. I have a friend that got hit hard like you. He was in bad shape for a few months, but thru very hard work, be is back to about 90 percent. The body is an amazing thing. I had the triple bypass ten years ago. Just recently I died in my lazy boy. I felt myself going and yelled for my wife roz. She shook the snot out of me and I somehow came out of it. I happened a second time and now I have an implant in my chest. If I can do anything musically with guitar or sing, I would love to help. Don't give up on music. small steps bud. I will keep you in my daily thoughts

Paul

Best wishes from down under also Len. Having seen more than a couple of friends and relatives who've been through a stroke, it is amazing to me just how much people can and do adapt and relearn.

All the best.
Bruce.
