Stereo vs. Surround Sound
Hi everybody! Might anyone have some insight into rendering into the right format for orchestral trailer cues? Because I know that, when I watch movies at the movie theatre, I hear it in surround sound; so would they want us to submit it that way? I'm pretty sure my DAW allows me to do this - but then I would need four speaker monitors instead of just two so I could hear how it would all turn out. Or am I overthinking things? Thanks!

here's the thing, you won't be mixing the final trailer. stereo, or they may also want stems. I think you would need more than 4 speakers which would be quadraphonic, not 5.1 or 7.1 surround.

+1 on that.
Deliverables would be similar to every other advertising use of music.
Stereo session full mix, alt mixes /stems and splits of every track included the project session.
