Solo Acoustic Guitar Forward

Post by bigbluebarry » Fri Feb 27, 2009 3:10 pm

Here's the listing:SOLO ACOUSTIC GUITAR INSTRUMENTALS are needed immediately by an East Coast Music Library/Publisher for the purpose of Film/TV placements and licensing. This company has signed and placed dozen of TAXI songs. They are needing a sparse/dark sound, and are not limited to receiving suspenseful acoustic tracks. Think of a more generic type of acoustic style. Please DO NOT submit Latin or Flamenco type instrumentals. Excellent performances will be necessary to be considered. Instrumentals MUST be recorded at Broadcast Quality (excellent home recordings should be okay). Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than 10:00am (PST) Wednesday, February 25, 2009. TAXI #D090225INHere's the song:Dark and Suspenseful - http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... eam=trueOr you can hear it on my profile page - http://www.taxi.com/barryfrenchI'm pretty happy about this one! I wrote this the morning of the listing before I went to work. In fact, it made me late for work. Oh well, it was worth it! - Big Blue

Big Blue does it again! That is sparse and suspenseful. These must be tough to record.I can "hear" your room in the pauses and like Allens song, I can hear you breathing every now and then.Damn condenser mikes.

RLD... Thanks man. Yeah, recording acoustics for me has been a challenge. One of the problems I have is that my room hasn't been properly treated, acoustically speaking. It's a very "live" room. I know that I need to do it, just having to find the resources to make it happen. B. Flat... thanks Keith... yep, I woke up that morning and saw that the listing was due by 10am. I felt like a challenge that morning. Glad I did it!Bob... thank you!Ibanez... thanks!!- Big Blue

Congrats blue!!! Didn't I just leave a reply for one of your forwards, or is this De ja vu? hahahaha!!! Keep on delivering the hits!!!p.s. You were only late for your "second job." As for your job as a songwriter, you just put in the overtime! Do what ya love and you never work a day in your life!! If only I could explain that to my land lord when rent is due....
