Instrumental/EDM? - This Is Love - NEED FEEDBACK

Hey!

I'm very new to producing music so all the tips and tricks I can get are very helpful! This is my first produced track. I don't know really what genre (instrumental/EDM?) it would be classified as, so if anyones got an idea please write!

I would like to get feedback on the whole song and no feedback is too small! I've also tried to make the "choruses" (after the drop) more energetic and stronger than before the drop, but I'm not really satisfied yet, so I would love to get some help with that.

Hi Max.

This composition is great. I really like what I am hearing in terms of pacing, variation, and the overall melody. The guitar lines at the end are really great.

That said I, this has aspects of several genres in it. It might not have quite enough focus to fit a listing. However, the great news is now you've produced a track!

My recommendation on steps forward would be to comb through the listings and listen to some references and try to come up with something for a listing.

What I will say is that your elements probably need updating if you are going to compete in any electronic, or hybrid listings.

Hi Max,

This is way too mellow for EDM music.
Most of the time the shows that want EDM, want it powerful and uptempo...but of course there may be exceptions.
That is not to say your track is not good....it is....but I think you will have a hard time getting it placed anywhere.

You will have MUCH MUCH better luck if you find a listing looking for EDM and write a track for the listing.

Of course...that's just my opinion.

Hi Max

This is not an EDM track, so I wouldn't be sending it to any of those listings. It's more like a positive corporate style cue..Just add a Uke.

I would also say your kick is out of balance with the track..mabye not hte right kick if you are developing it more in the corporate cue style.

I just got signed to a well known Library a couple of weeks with and EDM track I made ( not via Taxi ) .....but if you want to compare and hear what they are signing it's on my SoundCloud

You should go and listen to some of the other music Libraries where you can hear what they have in their catalogue, it can be a good guide.
