Hi Tim,

Yeah, I looked for MBox driver updates, but the last one released was 2014.
I've now ordered myself a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6, which I have only heard good things about.

Thanks everyone for your advice.

Just for anyone who is having the same issues:
There are a lot of people with these issues, and it appears to be something to do win Windows 10 in combo with Pro Tools 12.
I bought a new interface - Focusrite Scarlett 616, and upgraded ram to 32 GB.
It no longer crashes, but I get the 'Pro Tools ran out of CPU power' error message, constantly.
I've gone around this by pulling up the CPU usage window in PT, and systematically going through tracks until I found which instrument/plug in was causing the problem.
Sure enough, my CPU usage was around 30% until one particular synth kicked in, when it spiked to 100% and gave the error message.
I bounced this midi track down to audio, disabled the midi track with plug in, and now CPU usage doesn't go above 30%.
Annoying, yes. But a 3 minute fix.
