Hi all,
What are your musical goals/dreams for 2019?
For me - working towards finishing my next piano album, getting stuck back into songs instead of instrumentals, and hopefully pulling together an alt-pop EP. Maybe a collaboration or two, who knows. Will still be plugging away at the occasional cue, but those first goals are my focus!
What about you?
Can't wait to hearrrr
Hi Anna
I'd like to finish all the songs I've been working on with the info I'm learning here. Lot's of new insight to apply to old ideas. Going into the studio in February to record some new finished material . Then hoping to get my material out there. Also looking forward to connecting more with all of you here on this forum

Hi Anna!
Getting one of my forwards to follow through with an offer is definitely on the list for this year. But that's more rolled into "Write Submit Forget Repeat" as much as possible.
However, more specifically, I would have to go with doing more collaborations. I've already done one so far and it pushed me into a style I had not considered before!
Hope 2019 is the year for your musical goals!
Tom

Goal 1: Sign with 5 more libraries
Goal 2: Get a placement!
Goal 3: Continue to expand my compositional landscape and improve
Goal 4: Help others do the same when I can

Nice goal, John! I'm the worst at going back and finishing old ideas. Probably a few I should revisit. Good luck with it all! Look forward to hearing about your successes!

Hi Anna
Goals, Hmmmm
my main goal is to be teachable...All of the taxi journey so far has been my letting go of what I think, especially what I think I know.
I am learning to listen, observe, and understand what OTHERS WHO ARE SUCCESSFUL are doing...not easy at any age.
I will be doing my best to put in the time it takes to do this properly.
Since I am a somewhat slow writer at this stage , I will be very happy to have twenty six new cues at years end.
I will write a song a month as well, hoping a request comes along that one of these songs just might fill...and if not, well I've got fodder for a CD.
While I would love to get a placement, since I'm in the submitting and forgetting mode, that would simply be a rather nice gift from the universe. That is next years goal.
Here's hoping we are all inspired enough to put the pedal to the medal and keep it there

Following my first Road Rally, I decided to submit 50 tracks by the next rally in 2019 (So end October) I plan to stick to instrumental cues to make that happen but I also decided it would be good to write one new song per month. I have been plagued with sight issues (my eyes are painful right now) but I should be pain free by end Feb 2019. I have started many tracks, I am still getting up at 4.00am and writing until 10 am at home to keep the creative cogs oiled. (The 4.00am challenge was laid down by Michael on I thing the first TaxiTV of 2019). A great idea, and really works. I then take the good ideas to my studio to complete.

I hope you music tells a story.
