Just getting started, 5 forwards already!

Hi everyone! I just started submitting songs
to taxi about a month ago and I’ve already had 5 forwards! They were in several different genres including Arabic, Electronic, Christian, Funky deep house, and Sports rock. I got about 7 returns also but learned a lot from the critiques. Hoping I can get some songs licsensed and my first placement in 2019!!!

out of curiosity, did you write all of these for the Taxi listings or were you already writing for sync?

Thanks everyone! I wrote each one specific for the taxi listing. I’ve been writing and making demos, mostly country, every night for two years. Sync is new to me the last 2 months. I’ve pitched a ton of Country stuff to another organization and got some attention from publishers but no deals. I really like all the variety of taxi opportunities and the feedback from the screeners. I found taxi tv on you tube and was instantly hooked. My strategy is working in my home studio every single night from 10:00pm-12:30am (often til 3am!) after my kids go to bed. I write down what I hear and feel in the listings then try to go for a similar vibe. I just had another forward today for Electro Swing! That makes 6!
