1950's Rock N Roll
Hey there! First post in a very long time indeed...
I wonder if you might care to listen to this 1950's style rock n roll track I've created for listing #Y190507RR
ORIGINAL, 1950s-Style ROCK & ROLL SONGS with MALE Vocals are needed by a very successful, EXCLUSIVE Music Library for Sync placements. Please send well-crafted Mid-to-Up-Tempo Songs that are stylistically in the wheelhouse of these references the Music Library gave us:
“Roll Over Beethoven” by Chuck Berry
“That's Alright (Mama)” by Elvis Presley
“Good Golly, Miss Molly” by Little Richard
Please submit authentic sounding Rock ‘n’ Roll Songs that have that classic 1950s feel and vibe. Your instrumentation/arrangement should sound reminiscent of the era, with engaging melodies and a spirited vocal performance. Imagine the type of music that would be playing on the car radio as a group of young men with jeans and white T-shirts (with their Camels rolled up in the sleeves) cruise to the local diner looking for some action!
Any feedback would be appreciated.
My song is called 'Little Sugar.'
Many thanks!
Mark C.

This should go in the peer to peer sub forum for the best response. Also a link to your track should be in your post

Track has that wow factor, imo. Only thing to my ears would be that the vocals at places drowns a bit in the mix, which makes them unintelligible at times. Maybe run an extra automation pass and watch masking frequencies on the fx?

Thanks for the feedback! I decided to re-write the verses after a few more listens.

Sounds close to me - just posting as the Vocal/ Vocal treatment sounds like it should go full on Alvin Stardust!
