TENSION Instrumental Forward

Post by steveprobst » Thu Oct 24, 2019 10:29 am

I was concerned the drums I added at :55 were a little too much, but went with it anyway. Yay!
(Kept thinking about John Barry's "Dance With Wolves" soundtrack I use to listen to a lot [Indian attack scene] .

TENSION INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a NON-Exclusive Music Licensing Company for the Music Supervisor of a new competition-based Reality TV Series!

They need a bunch of Tension Cues in a variety of tempos and styles. Please listen to the examples below to get a general idea of what they need:

Shark Tank (From 6:40 – 7:15)

Last Chance Kitchen (From 5:04 – 5:57)

Please submit dramatic, tension-inducing Instrumental Cues that could add a sense of anticipation to a scene. Your pieces can include Electronic or Orchestral Instrumentation, or a hybrid of both, as long as they’re tension-inducing! Craft your Instrumental Cues around a central melodic idea, while gradually adding and subtracting instruments to create building dynamics and forward momentum as your Cue progresses. If you can picture your Instrumental Cue adding some dramatic intensity and tension to a Reality TV show competition, send it in!

Your submissions should be about 90 Seconds long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned endings will work best. Do NOT copy the referenced material in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE deal. You’ll keep 100% of the Master rights and the Library will get 100% of the Publisher’s share for any placements they generate. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit for this opportunity. Please submit as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Sunday, October 20th, 2019. TAXI Dispatch #D191020TN

Hey Steve

I think the drums work, because they add a new element (make it less monotonous) and are not too prominent. Well done!

Dances With Wolves - definitely in my top 10, just for the landscape alone. I wish it would show in theaters every now and then...

Thanks! I kept bringing them down...down...down..until I felt they were doing the job they needed to do.

Great job Steve. I like the use of the high strings to carry the tension through until the end

Go your own way! Out of necessity, drive, gumption, whatever.. don't let anyone tell you you can't!
It's not what goes into your music that's important, it's what comes out the speakers
