Forward for Arabian Rock, Library Digs It
Thank you again ML and all at Taxi!
Collab with Bill Hewett gets forwarded
Library reaches out
MIDDLE EASTERN ROCK INSTRUMENTALS are needed by an International Music Library with worldwide distribution through Universal!
They’re looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumentals that could generally be right up the alley of (but not limited to) these references:
Arabic Heavy Metal Instrumental Music
Oriental Arabic Metal Music
Although the references have vocals, please submit Instrumentals only for this pitch.
Please send in well-composed Rock Instrumentals that are combined with Middle Eastern elements – melodies, rhythms, instruments, or all of the above! Your submissions should still have some instrumentation commonly found in the Rock genre, but they need to convey a Middle Eastern vibe!
TAXI Tip: If you plan on using Virtual instruments, make sure they sound incredibly convincing and real. Please avoid submitting anything that sounds synthetic, stiff, or obviously MIDI-driven or over-quantized.
Your submissions should be at least 2 minutes in length. Non-Faded, Buttoned/Stinger endings will work best for this request. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or Instrumentals in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.
IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THE CLIENT: "If you plan to incorporate "ready-made" loops into your productions, please make sure each stem has at least 2 layers! That way, every loop has an additional layer that distinguishes it from the original ‘source’ loop.”
This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so please be sure the Instrumentals you pitch for this opportunity are NOT already signed with other Companies or Catalogs. Any sync fees will be split 50/50 with the Company. You'll get 100% of the Writer's share, and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher's share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit.

Go your own way! Out of necessity, drive, gumption, whatever.. don't let anyone tell you you can't!
It's not what goes into your music that's important, it's what comes out the speakers

Re: Forward for Arabian Rock, Library Digs It
Thanks, everybody! The track did get signed, making this my first contract that happened because of a TAXI forward. And the fact that it was a collab with Cass, who I've known on the forum since I first joined TAXI, makes it even better :)
Also, all of the other library contracts I've signed have been direct results of contacts made at the Road Rally, just in case anybody reading this still has doubts about TAXI :)
And Dan, thanks for the compliments on the bass tone... that is a combination of me plugging in directly through my SansAmp Bass Driver DI and Cass working his magic to make it sound like I know what I'm doing ;)
