S200210JZ 50's Bebop

Post by tresero » Fri Feb 07, 2020 9:51 am

Here is one of my submissions, my main concern is the era appropriate mix. I used as much vintage stuff as I had, pulled up the oh's on the drums and tried to get it to sound close. As always, thanks for the feedback.

"We’re looking for some bouncy, upbeat Jazz from the '50s or '60s. Even better if it has a Patriotic vibe!

Please send in original, well-composed Instrumentals that have solid musicianship and a retro 1950s or 1960s Jazz vibe. Your productions should sound like real humans playing real instruments, even if you're using Virtual Instrumentation. Anything that sounds synthetic, obviously quantized, or obviously MIDI-driven won't work for this pitch.

They’re open to hearing recently recorded Instrumentals as well as authentic, old-school masters recorded back in the day. Please Do NOT copy the referenced Songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Era-Appropriate Broadcast Quality is needed."

It is definitely bouncy and upbeat. I don't know enough to comment on the rest, but I like it!

Thanks Tom!
