Vocal song Forward
Hey all. Just had this one forwarded for a mid 2000 singer songwriter ala Colby Caillat listing. I happened to have some unused lyrics laying around that were close to the vibe, and got lucky on producing it out. Thank you to Kali J for nailing the vocal! And thanks to my new friend Hubert Payne of #Little Big Town for playing drums! It was fun to lay down bass to his groove!

Several SINGER-SONGWRITER SONGS with Male or Female Vocals are needed by an extremely busy Music Licensing Company that’s expanding the catalog they routinely present to the Music Supervisors of several Daytime TV Series!
They want Songs in All Tempos in the stylistic ballpark of the references they gave us below:
“Bubbly” by Colbie Caillat
“Lucky” by Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat
“Realize” by Colbie Caillat
Please submit Singer/Songwriter Songs with engaging melodies, great lyrics, and polished vocal performances. Instrumentation can vary for this request, but should be predominantly acoustic-driven and in the general stylistic ballpark of the references. You can go with relatively simple, Stripped-Down Guitar/Vocal performances, as well as versions with a small ensemble.
TAXI Tip: You'd be wise to avoid submitting moody, dark, or depressing Songs for this pitch. Keep the mood of your Songs light and upbeat!
They didn’t specify any lyric themes; but if you can imagine hearing your lyrics fitting in with the references above, then you’re probably in the ballpark. Please avoid references to specific names, dates, times, places, brands, and profanity. Do NOT copy the referenced artists or Songs in any way, shape, or form. Use them as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.
This company offers an EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 deal. This Music Library splits ALL sync fees 50/50 with you. They’ll get 100% of the Publisher’s share, and you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright. Please do not send material that has already been signed to other libraries or catalogs. Please submit as many Songs as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Thursday, February 6th, 2020. TAXI # S200206SS

Thanks Tom.
I found Howard Payne the drummer online and had him play the track via wav files. Anyone can find these great musicians to help them! Thanks again.

Re: Vocal song Forward
Congrats John! A really nice tune and I was wondering, did you write it just for this listing ? It's so perfect for what they asked for. Very nice writing and I am not jealous at all
All the best with this one and I hope you get a placement soon!
Cheers
Tom

Re: Vocal song Forward
Hey Tom! Thanks for the kind words.
Yes I wrote it specifically for the listing. I rarely do that coz it always takes me a while to tweak and tweak and tweak! This one kind of came together quickly! Good luck on your 2 songs forwarded! best, John
