Am I close to understanding the problem?
Alan
I think so... it remains a work-in-progress.
Thanks.

When you need to reset this calendar as it has drifted out of synch - how do you know what to correct it to.

i.e.
1 is there an algorithm to calculate that ?
or
2. do you just look the correct value up in a table
or
3. Is it directly observed e.g. measuring where the moon/planers/sun is directly at a certain time
It could be as easy as the 3rd option.
We'll see.
Have you considered just providing tables on lunar phases so the software resets periodically to precalculated values.

eg. this

https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/phases ... ?year=2033

Has calculated moon phases out for decades.

Howdy, techies - (I'm so NOT ONE!)...
QUESTION: can something digital be made to 'fake' analog?
What I mean is - can digital be made to work and be applied like a continuously-changing/automatically-adjusting to natural gradation?
Or - are the two simply incompatible?

Understand my question?
Can you cancel digital interpolation, after the fact? Nope. But at common sampling rates, it shouldn't be possible to hear a difference.

Hi,
I think you are trying to make the midi sound real..not sure..I use Logicprox and I am sure other DAW'S have similar features to HUMANIZE, add SWING, lengthen/shorten notes and by volume automation as well you can add dynamic to a track or whole performance..I hope this helps if this is what you want to do. :D

Already have that info needed; thanks.
FYI: we might have found a workable solution - still in-progress.
Thanks,

It's NOT a sound issue, actually. Thanks - since posting this - there is a solution to the problem being worked on.
Sort of a 'reset' button, for some required 'wiggle room'... in a timekeeping app.
Cheers,
Peter
