Dear Passengers,

Don't miss this episode of TAXI TV if you want to learn how to create an Instrumental Cue from start to finish!

Successful TAXI member Steve Barden, is an accomplished composer (click here to find out more about him: www.stevebarden.com/credits.asp) who will walk us through the step-by-step process of writing and producing what I like to call, a "CSI Lab-Style Instrumental Cue." Bring your microscopes kids, this is going to be a super educational, in-depth look at building an instrumental cue.

If you're new to creating Cues, this episode will peel back the layers on so many of the things you'd like to know:

- Should it have an intro?

- How long should the intro be, if there is one?

- How long should each of the sections of the cue, be?

- What ARE those sections?

- How and why do you choose certain instruments and sounds?

- What is a "developmental arc," and why you need one?

- What is a buttoned or stinger ending, and why do you need one?

- How should this cue be titled to increase placements?

- What kind of metadata should be included?

We'll dig deep to unearth the answers to these questions and many more as Steve creates his Cue live, in real-time! No pressure Steve -- you've got 90 minutes!!

We're also going to give away a copy of his must-have book, Writing Production Music for TV. To have a shot at winning, all you need to do is drop a comment under the archived version of this episode, once it's up on YouTube (about 15 minutes after the live show finishes). The best comment or question wins the book!!

Set an alarm on your phone so you don't miss a minute of this episode! We're hoping it goes "viral." Sorry, we couldn't resist ;-)
