Post by henryvan4444 » Tue Jul 07, 2020 11:20 am

Had a blast making these Andean-styled tracks and was thrilled to have them forwarded! My dream come true is to get a placement on a Nacho Libre film!!

TRADITIONAL ARGENTINEAN or CHILEAN FOLK (AKA Patagonian) INSTRUMENTALS and/or INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a British Music Licensing Company with GREAT Worldwide Distribution and lots of awesome placements in Film and TV.

They’re looking for several Instrumentals (and/or Cues) in All Tempos that are in the general stylistic wheelhouse of these examples:

Argentina Folk Music (From 0:00 - 2:40)

"Llama del Altiplano" by Los Calchakis

Roberto Lara: Argentina - The Guitar of the Pampas (From 0:00 - 2:37)

Note: This company is only interested in signing material from composers who have worked for libraries and licensing companies in the past and understand how standard deals work. If you don't have that experience and you don't know the drill on typical deals, then they politely ask that you don't submit to this request.

Although some of these references have vocals, please submit Instrumentals (and/or Cues) only for this pitch.

Please submit well-crafted Instrumentals (and/or Cues) that have a genuine-sounding Argentinian/Chilean Folk feel, sound, and style. Your submissions should have authentic-sounding instrumentation and solid musicianship from start to finish. Submissions can range from solo performances or small ensembles to larger, fuller arrangements. Just be sure your pieces sound like the real deal and have a sound that would work well in a variety of media such as (but not limited to): travel shows, docu-series, and films!

NOTE: If you use Virtual Instruments or samples to replicate authentic instruments, please make sure that they sound realistic and are not stiff or obviously MIDI-driven.

Your submissions should be about 90 seconds to 2 minutes in length, give or take. Non-faded endings will work best. Do NOT copy the referenced material in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.

This company offers an EXCLUSIVE deal, so please be sure the Instrumentals and Cues you pitch for this opportunity are NOT already signed with other Companies or Catalogs. You'll keep 100% of the Writer's share, and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher's share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit. Please submit as many Instrumentals (and/or Cues) as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Tuesday, June 16th, 2020. TAXI Dispatch # D200616AR
