I have studied music all my life and gone to college for jazz progrmmes but flamenco guitar I learnt whatever I couldfrom a couple of people that played flamenco with dancers at a local cafe before youtube was out and still struggling...I am by all means not a flamenco guitarist, couldn't acompany a dancer and a singer to save my life..just use the techniques to write.
Yeah, Paco was different for sure, ..playing as fast as Al and John with his fingers..I saw the trio several times. I love Al di Meola, he is a major influence on me for sure and a super nice guy, got to hang out with him for a whole day until dawn when my band opened up for him in mid 90's...I will never forget that day.
Hope you write some more..I clicked on your name to see or hear more music from you but it didn't take me to your page..do you have a website?

Re: Flamenco Listing
Just as a lurker in the Peanut Gallery, I was wondering if/when "Friday Night In San Francisco" references might show up in this thread.
You didn't keep me waiting for very long.
I heard some of that a long time ago on KKGO, when it was L.A's go-to Jazz station. It got a lot of airplay there, back in the day.
Congrats on your forward; and good luck with it finding a user-friendly home.
Cheers,
Peter

Re: Flamenco Listing
You have reached true flamenco - black belt for sure - in the hierarchy after that I defer - Paco is the man.
