Hey Mark..... I don't know if you remember but a couple of months ago you gave one of my tracks some tuff love.... Told me intro was to long, and change up piano and that the guitars in the verses and chorus sounded like two different songs mood wise.... I took your advice and made the changes.... Taxi did not forward the track but guess what the track was signed to a library and now has a life out there to earn me some money.... So Thank you for that. I don't come on here to be told my stuff is great or to have people tell me wha I am doing right..... Trust me when I say the end game is not getting a forward from Taxi hell it's not even getting it signed to a library.... It's to get it placed, get it heard, and make me some money.....lol
I've seen some just ok songs get forwarded by Taxi, Some good songs get signed to libraries but it takes a great song to go all the way.... So let's keep sharpening the ax and winning!
Thanks Mark and John. I got a ways to go with this so ...it is going to be uphill. I want to make the song the best possible and like yourself, Mark...am not that interested in praise. I am fascinated by the learning curve with the style. I realized that my recording habits were stale....it has opened my eyes.

Hey John, that's great that you got the track into the Library. Yes that's just the beginning really , happy to hear my advice was of some benefit to you ...true...it can be a sea of mediocrity at times...and some don't even get to those dizzying heights. But if you can do it once, you can do it again and do it even better. Keep fighting the good fight.

Mark

It does work...but I have to be more careful as I do find mistakes despite the fact that I am using the quantize method. I have taken most of the track apart now...once the bass is out...I am starting from percussion up. I am basing it on the vocals rather than starting with the kick/snare up. I will let you know how it turns out.
Thanks again for the advice.

Hi Robert.QHH buddy..you have writing skills and I am not going to repeat what eveyone else already covered, I think by now you know you have to work on your vocals...I heard your track on the QHH episode and it was awsome...sure you can use pitch correction plugins as most engineers do these days but also consider vocal coach....keep on rocking cause you have the right attitude for this.

Hi Andre

Thanks. I am just starting to master the pitch correction software I have. It is Vari-Audio from Cubase and it does a great job. I just have to be 100% accurate on all the vocals when I am listening. I love your music, Andre. It was soothing when it came across on Taxi TV. I love the guitars and if you do any Flamenco let me know. I am in awe of that fast strumming music. I wish I had the wrists for it.

Cheers!
Robert
