Re: Thanksgiving Challenge - write & post your pie
MY THANKSGIVING CHALLENGEJust another day to live my life--I'm thankful for that...Nothing different, nothing's changed. Everybody's running to and fro--I'm glad we can do that. They're already talking about Christmas and it's still November...There are crowds everywhere shopping for deals--I'm thankful that we CAN do that here in America.Dad says the in-laws will be crashing in to spend the night--I'm thankful for that--I KNOW my brothers and sisters are... Many children don't have grandparents that are still living. Our house is too small I can't have my own room. I'm thank God I got many brothers and sisters to share the love.Mom burnt the turkey again--Some would jump at the chance to eat that.Got no butter for our biscuits, thank God we at least got them! The television isn't working, we can't watch the football game--more time for family stories and games--I'm thankful for that!Aunt Di can't be here this evening, she works as a nurse. Thank God she HAS a job! She might help save somebody's life whose family might end up really thankful tonight! My favorite uncle won't be able to make it. He died serving our country in Iraq. I'm thankful for this country, and America is thankful for its fighting men who, like my uncle, gave their lives to preserve our freedoms. I AM thankful for past thanksgivings when my uncle was alive and well.I am thankful to God who took my uncle to Heaven so we can all see him again someday.Ghosts of the past can't live in the present. The parallel lines of the past and present lead to the future. I thank God my future holds many more days where I can be thankful for what I have and what I will have, till we are united with all our loved ones who've died for that last but everlasting Thanksgiving Reunion, and I can thank God face-to-face...The years will come and the years will go, and we'll all grow old, but the memories will outlive us all-Thank God for that! Thank God we will be able to pass them down like children's clothes hand-me-downs.Happy Thanksgiving, everybody. For just one day take the time to think about what God has given us...

Here's a song for Vikki's challenge. Bob Mete and I are co-writing this song together, and this is only the very rough demo, but we're hoping to have it finished very soon. It's called "Christmas Came Early This Year"....it's about a soldier who can't come home for Christmas, so his family throws an early Christmas celebration for him:http://www.taximusic.com/hosting/home.php?userid=2572
