Well, here it is. I had to write and record it a bit at a time as I had a bunch of gigs this week plus did the renovation thang during the day. In honor of your instigation, Vikki, I call it "The Challenge" and dedicate it to you.http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... ream=trueI hope you like it.Mewman

Wouldn't it just be one of those crazy stories if you got a cut with this song written because you had time to do it because you lost your job???!!!I say copyright it and start looking for pitch opps.Mewman, yours sounds like it will perfect for the right listing too. What are you using for bass on this?

Hi BillTo be honest, I'm not sure exactly which bass I used! I believe it's a Giga sample. I have several on my EXS24....Giga and Akai, but the names are'nt listed in my sampler.By the way, I really liked your lyrics for "Good Lord Willin". It got to me. Very well crafted! In general, it's been a great experience trolling through these submissions. I love you guys!Mewman

Haven't had a chance to listen to them all yet, but BILL I really liked your entry. Actually my son ( the 17 year old) was reading the posts and listened to it first and told me to listen cause he liked it. He's huge Steve Seskin fan and a sucker for a story line..... no wonder he liked it. Doesn't hurt that the melody was hummable ...is that a word????

You game?Call it the THANKSGIVING CHALLENGE - write something new and post it by Saturday Dec 6th, 10 am PST, here, on this thread. Lyrics only is okay, words & music is okay (3 mins), instrumental is okay (60 secs min). A worktape will suffice, a fully produced song/instrumental counts too.It has to be something new you began today (after reading this thread). Don't forget to post the TAXI listing (or market) you're aiming for, if applicable.Let the MUSIC begin. Okay folks, the deadline is almost upon us!!! About 40 minutes left... glad to see so many people participating, my next job will be to listen to all the entries - and I will, a little later I have to head out, so I'll post mine now!Industrial Bluehttp://vikkiflawith.com/audio/VIKKI_FLAWITH-Industrial_Blu-3.m3uwasn't this fun?

OK, well I totally failed at this.Haven't gotten any further than writing out 3-4 different possible backstories for the characters in my lyric.don't shun me, please.
