Also, DistroKid mentioned that they do not act as a publishing entity, when I asked them that.
However, opting into their YouTube Content ID option gives Audiam the role of Content ID manager for the music used in YT videos
Thanks again, Don't know much about Audiam, will to my research.
Will Audiam interfere with eventual publishing deals by music production librairies for content on YT?

Stay safe
P.
I reckon it will, I am a bit ignorant about Content ID, but I reckon it may be a source of problem if you sign your music exclusively with a library/publisher

Hi Pierre,
I use Tunecore even though it is pricier.

I signed up for distrokid but when I read their whole agreement ( I didn’t see a place to read the agreement until I paid my $) something about their agreement struck me funny.
It did appear that they were taking a “non exclusive interest” in the music. A non exclusive license.

I emailed distrokid and raised my concerns and they did not offer a rebuttal but they cheerfully refunded my money.

I could be wrong about that license but the wording didn’t sit well with me. John
