got forward for contemporary action - surprisingly

Post by rocnathan » Sat Mar 07, 2009 8:10 am

Hey guys,I don't really want to brag that much, but ince this IS the bragging section... much to my surprise, I had both my orchestral/electronica pieces forwarded - they're on my page under the imaginative names of "action electro 1/2".www.taxi.com/rocnathanWhat's more, since I got the last dramatic/emotional pieces forwarded too, this marks my fifth forward in a row, which makes my very happy. Cheersroc

Shouldn't have been a surprise at all. It's really good. What samples are you using for your brass? They're very convincing.Congrats to you!B

Awesome tracks!!! Congrats on both!! I like the way you have all the sound space filled. There are no long moments of repetition, its all filled with an almost "chaotic" array of sounds on top of your underlying rythm. Kept me listening all the way through. I have to agree with fusilierb in that it's not suprising they got sent!! DO IT UP!!!

Good work, I like this, more sophistication than the usual faceless Stylus RMX soulless blend in that genre

Whoa, thanks for the great response, guys The main reason I thought they wouldn't get forwarded is because the production sucks - I didn't really have any time to mix the bass, so I just slapped some rbass on it and hoped for the best...:-PFusilierb, I use the VSL special edition and ewql platinum for some of my percussion. If you fiddle a little with the volume curve, you can get amazing results, especially with the new fanfare trumpets. One guy on the VSL forum posted a version of the star wars main theme, and it sounded astonishing.
