New to taxi. Any advice particularly around mixing/improving sonic quality is appreciated. Just to note the track isn't mastered but will be.
Cheers,

FOLK INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a successful Music Publisher launching curated playlists that could lead to signings and placements down the road.

NOTE: This is a great opportunity to get in early, although it may take several months to start bearing fruit in the form of placements.

This Label is looking for Instrumentals that could be found on a playlist with the following references:
"Living Proof" by The War on Drugs
"How Lucky" by Kurt Vile
"New Slang" by The Shins

Although the references have vocals, please submit Instrumentals only for this pitch.

Quoting the Company: "This is intended to supplement our existing library of tracks, which we would launch through streaming services and/or YouTube (giving the artists full credit and royalties, of course.)"

Please submit well-produced Folk Instrumentals with engaging rhythms, great motifs, and excellent musicianship. Authentic-sounding, organic-based instrumentation is key to nailing this pitch. If you plan on using any virtual instruments, they need to sound like the real thing and not synthetic or obviously MIDI-driven. Please be sure that your production is top-notch, as well.

All submissions should be at least 2 to 3 minutes in length, and cannot exceed 5 minutes in length. Please do not copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for feel, texture, and tone. Broadcast Quality is needed.

The deal points will be negotiated directly with the Publisher on a track-by-track basis. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Tuesday, August 17th, 2021.
