Yeah I wonder which samples they are referring to. The drums strike me as working, but maybe could be a little more interesting.
Like you said a slightly more intriguing chord progression might help compensate for the limitation on melody.
One thought if you can't have melody is I really like the female choral vocal you have at the start (around 0:15).
If something like that was more consistent and just the top note of the chords (so technically harmony), it might give a little more of something to grasp onto in terms of a central element/theme that could morph (maybe just sonically) as the song progresses.
At 0:56 and 1:39 I like the concept of the distorted sound. That feels a little dated to me though in that it sounds somewhere between an electric guitar and a synth. You know the genre better then I, but if the sound selection was a little meaner and "fatter" definitively sounding like synth, I think that might give a slightly more modern feel - like more current EDM inspired vs rock inspired.
I may be completely off base, but I feel like I am also wishing there was more bass.
Anyway, to me it overall sounds great and you know this genre way better then I, so please take this feedback with a grain of salt.
Cheers,
-Eric

I've had couple of orchestral placements I think in TV-Show "The Challenge" it was... back on 2018. But even inside in this orchestral hybrid genre there are still quite a lot of variation depending on listing.
Me too...here are some tracks in a similar style to my own The Challenge placements that I signed to a Library that wanted more like it.

Great tracks! I hear you've also used steady beat behind in few of the tracks instead. For some reason I've avoided that even you can build a very nice orhestral track around it. Also some other sound selections are I'd say - inspiring. I've been sticking too much on one way of building orchestral track, i.e for drums section. It doesn't really have to be those same 3-4 taiko drums selections to make track work.

This track of mine at least was placed on the challenge:

I'd love to know in which episode it got played.. My PRO new royalty tool shows only in format quarter / year and not anymore air date when track was played so really hard that way to say. I've heard about that tunesat but I haven't registered nearly all my tracks in there. Do you have some better way to find out in which episodes your tracks were played or does tunesat really work?

Yeah Tunesat does work well- might as well for free...

In my PRO ( PRS ) you can also search cue sheets to I've seen them on there too. If you PM'd the names of the cues and your writers name I may be able to find the relevant cue sheet as it shows everyone.

each Instrumental should have one consistent motif and always stay very underscore-friendly ... TAXI # S210725EM
It is a very good track and very good writing. But I don't think it sounds simple enough. I dont believe you had a consistent motif. You went something like, aba'b' or maybe even through composed (varied as it moved forwards). Your melody stood out because of that. Whereas they said, "no prominent melodies" specifically. The references are much simpler than your foreground melody. They use Just a very simple phrase structure abab' (repeat repeat repeat) or simply outline the harmony. The mood of the refs were more on the bland side, boring. Whereas your track is too interesting. Maybe this is why the feedback was: "This could use a more compelling central theme. " Which to me means: write a single motif and repeat repeat repeat it.

Another aspect of S210725EM is the term 'EMOTIONAL'. ...

An interesting thing to try with your track might be to move your existing foreground melody into the bass instrument. Then it wouldn't be so prominent, yet still make the track move forwards. I don't know if it is worth the time to try.

Thanks for your input, truly appreciate it! I just simply found those 4 chord changes and built arrangement around it. But maybe too many moving parts or too underlining elements in it which made track stand our too much and lost the needed simplificity. Lessons learned…
