It sounds pretty Latin to me.
So traditional music in Uruguay which is in South America and to name a few are TANGO,MILONGA,CONDOMBE..e.t.c. my track was returned, if you want it to be limited to a certain style samba, bossa, bolero then I have enough of those,it clearly stated "But not limited to"(read below) I was trying to send compositions for different regions just in case they want to use it in a travel show for Argentina, Uruguay and other Latin countries that were influenced from European countries and brought tango and other genres to these regions.
Well I am glad I only sent 5 and not 10, at least the samba one got forwarded.
If anything I hope you enjoy this piece and maybe dance to it. It sounds pretty Latin to me
thank you.
The listing clearly states:
A WIDE RANGE of ORIGINAL, TRADITIONAL LATIN INSTRUMENTALS and/or INSTRUMENTAL CUES is needed by a U.K. Music Licensing Company with GREAT Worldwide Distribution and lots of awesome placements in Film and TV!
NOTE: This Company is open to hearing a wide range of Latin styles including (but NOT limited to): Salsa, Bolero, Rumba, Plena, Samba, Cumbia, Tango, Zouk, Bachata, etc., etc., etc.
This Company is searching for Instrumentals/Cues in All Tempos in the general stylistic ballpark of the following references:

SCREENERS FEEDBACK: What I like most about this song
This was your strongest performance. Very sweet and tender and heartfelt emotion. Pretty guitar and piano.
I think you could improve this song by
While this was a much stronger performance and there is a subtle Latin vibe, I feel like for "traditional Latin" requests, this should have some more Latin flavor.
I returned or forwarded this song because
Just missed the cut. Nice cue. Just needs a little more Latin flavor and traditional elements for this request.

Was the screener expecting to hear charangos and cuatros? I think your tune is quite Latin. However, I am not a screener, so...

Thanks Pedro.
Thanks Marc- Well I played all the instruments, I don't own a percussion store nor I am a percussionist and not a requirement, you can submit just one instrument track,
Thank you Graham: We shall see.
Will keep you posted

Andre,
Wow! Beautifully tender track. It created so much imagery. Clearly Latin, flamenco/tango/sensual heat! Insta-forward. Bravo!
Best,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Thank you, well I wish the screener thought the same way but not going to try to persuade the head screener and move on to the Cuban listing coming up and see what the out come of that one is going to be.
cheers.

Re: It sounds pretty Latin to me.
The screener is clearly wrong on this one, or perhaps need some cultural awareness training. This is a gorgeous and AUTHENTIC Latin track. My guess is the screener wants to hear some castanets or a shaker or something... which I think is incredibly stereotypical and potentially insulting if needed to make something sound "traditional." I would not have minded hearing a bass enter in the second section, but this is still clearly Latin music. The listing says in all caps WIDE RANGE... I too would be frustrated with this return.

Thank you Paul.
Yes I could of added other instruments but it also said "stripped down versions" and to be honest in tango a shaker doesn't go well.
I think they just gravitate to samba or boss nova as Latin music..not sure.
Glad more people are responding to this thread and agree that it is clearly LATIN.

Re: It sounds pretty Latin to me.
Too bad to get the return.
I think the part you cut out of the listing was the actual ref tracks.
Paste those ref tracks into this thread and compare against yours.
Personally I think the bass arrangement has a lot to do with this one not hitting - I am not hearing a clear bass line outlining the harmony - either in the rhythmic pulse or the actual tonality.

Re: It sounds pretty Latin to me.
Thank you Andy for the comment on the bass...if a library picks it up I will work on the bass before submitting.
However my post is just referring to the screener saying "it need a bit more Latin flavor" he returned it because of this reason and liked everything else.
