Thank you Andy for the comment on the bass...if a library picks it up I will work on the bass before submitting.
However my post is just referring to the screener saying "it need a bit more Latin flavor" he returned it because of this reason and liked everything else.

Not a bass part. I am not talking about adding that.gitanosoy wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 4:09 pmThank you Andy for the comment on the bass...if a library picks it up I will work on the bass before submitting.

Beautiful track, Andre. Andy raised a good point about the reference tracks so I went back to the listing and here they are:andygabrys wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 3:16 pmToo bad to get the return.
I think the part you cut out of the listing was the actual ref tracks.
Paste those ref tracks into this thread and compare against yours.

Andre's track is a bit different than the ref tracks which are busier with more instrumentation. HOWEVER, the listing says, "Solo instrumentation, small ensembles, and even larger ensembles are all fair game for this request" along with "wide range". And it's clearly quite Latin.
Andre, for this one I would drop an email to headscreener AT taxi dot com and ask for clarification.
Best,
Casey

Re: It sounds pretty Latin to me.
Thank you so much Casey, I am glad more people are commenting and agreeing.
I have emailed to head screeners in the past about other latin and flamenco tracks that I disagreed with the decision but it just goes back and forth with replies both email and phone and at the end nothing changes and I feel even more frustrated and loose hope for future submissions in these genres as proven with this track again.
I will just pitch it directly or as Graham said if the library contacts me for my other track that got forwarded then I will send them this if it is still available.
Going to submit for the Cuban listing and see what happens.
Who knows maybe ML will see this post and comment.

I think, while you should pitch to libraries, you should still contact head screener about this one. Taxi does need to get the feedback and I'm sure you are polite and professional. JMHO. Hi Casey,
Thank you again so I took your advice and emailed the Head screener.
