"Potter-Style" FANTASY ORCHESTRAL TRAILER-Style INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a hard-working Music Library that’s always hustling and landing placements for TAXI members in TV Shows, Film projects, and Movie Trailers!
This Library is looking for Instrumentals that could fit in the general stylistic range of the following references we got directly from them:
"Hedwig's Theme" by John Williams
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtHra9tFISY
Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts Trailer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFGS4zZWGoA
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Trailer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViuDsy7yb8M
While one reference is not trailer-style, please submit trailer-style Instrumentals only for this request. The last time this client requested music in this style, the creative fees were up to $20,000 for pieces that got licensed.
Please submit top-notch Orchestral Instrumentals that could help establish a magical and wonder-filled mood and work well in the context of family-friendly fantasy movie trailers. Your submissions should have captivating melodies, sweeping arrangements, high-quality Orchestral instrumentation, and three "acts" that build to a climactic ending. If you plan on using any virtual Orchestral instrumentation, it should be state-of-the-art and indistinguishable from the real thing – nothing that sounds stiff or obviously MIDI-driven will work for this request. Overall, your production should be polished, high-quality, and competitive with the references, as well!
TAXI Tip: Don't be afraid to layer up your instrumentation to create a majestic, blockbuster sound! The bigger the better for these types of Instrumentals.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Though we've used the phrase, "Potter-style," that does NOT mean you should try to emulate or copy the references or any of the music in the Harry Potter films or trailers. What we DO mean is that you could use similar instrumentation, chords, texture and overall vibe, but don't even think about similar melodies or anything else that would infringe a copyright.
Your submissions should be about 2 to 3 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. Please do NOT copy the referenced examples in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.
This Library offers a NON-EXCLUSIVE, 50/50 Deal. You’ll get 50% of any sync fees and 100% of the Writer’s share. The Publisher will get 50% of sync fees and 100% of the Publisher’s Share. You’ll keep 100% of the original copyright and master recording. You must own or control the Master and Copyright to submit to this pitch. Please submit as many Instrumentals as you’d like, online or per CD. Time permitting, someone from the Music Library may screen some or all of the submissions. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PST) on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022. TAXI # S220223MG

Well done on this, John, it sounds in the ballpark. The only thing that stands out to me is that the cymbal swells that start at :41 don't sound quite right to me, so maybe try a different sample or EQ setting for a more natural tone? Otherwise, it's coming together really nicely, well done. Doug

Thanks for the cymbal swell note. I will change it out for one sounding more traditional. Glad you liked the rest. I put a lot of work into this for sure.
Best!
John
