This is a genre I've struggled with. I'm hoping to get a little feedback on this cue before I submit to the following listing. It's been returned a couple times before, but I've gotten great feedback from the screener each time. Hoping the third time's a charm! Thanks in advance.

Re: Feedback for ANTHEMIC INDIE/ALT-ROCK
Hi Brent,
I think you are very close to the brief, the track is pretty cool and has the potential of being full of bombastic vibe and swagger.
The guitar riff is great and sounds like an anthem.
I'd say there are some problems with the mix in the last part. The melody is too quiet relatively to the other things that happen.
I also think that small changes can be made to make small but essential energy differences when a section is repeated, like in the beginning when the riff is played twice.
The sound FX are very cool but I feel they are not contributing as much as they could but more of a disturbance. Maybe they deserve their own space. a bar or two where nothing happens except the rising SFX.
Hope that helps, thanks for sharing.

Hey Brent, Nice job on this -- it's sounding good! As far as feedback, the drums could use a little more snap/urgency to my ears -- maybe try more velocity and "crack" on the snare and a shorter reverb on the kick? Also, you could try a cymbal choke at the very end so the song stops more tightly. Just my two cents... What feedback have you received from the screeners? Best of luck with it! Doug

Thanks so much for taking the time to listen and offer feedback. I appreciated what you had to say about the mix during the final section, so I adjusted some levels before submitting. I also brought down the risers a bit. Thanks again!AlonMarcus wrote: ↑Fri Jul 08, 2022 8:39 pmHi Brent,

Thanks for your feedback Doug! I made some adjustments to the kick, and I really liked your idea about the cymbal choke!DouglasKnight wrote: ↑Sat Jul 09, 2022 8:59 amHey Brent, Nice job on this -- it's sounding good! The first time it was returned, the screener said it needed to be bigger. I think that listing was more trailer oriented. The second time it was returned due to some mixing imbalances. We'll see what happens this time!
Thanks again. I really appreciate it!
