Lots of DRAMEDY INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a very busy British Music Library that's constantly landing tons of placements in Film, TV, and other Media.
This Library is looking for a range of Instrumentals that could fit on a playlist with the following references:
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (from 0:59 - 1:55)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4XWN5c ... nnel=Bravo
"Dark Comedy Central" by Jim Ellis
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQyNOyO ... llis-Topic
Real Housewives of Atlanta (from 1:25 to 2:08)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aFnQpS ... nnel=Bravo
"Quirky Waltz" by Gabriel Saban & Anne-Sophie Elizabeth Versnaeyen
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHbY-zR ... aban-Topic
"Frenemy of the People" by Bleeding Fingers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WME00QP ... gers-Topic
Please submit well-produced Dramedy Instrumentals that could help set the tone in Film, TV, and other media placements. Your submissions can range from sparse and quirky to dark and sombre – to anywhere in between! Your submissions should have memorable motifs, solid arrangements, and polished production. Orchestral-based instrumentation that is generally similar to the references will suit your submissions best. You can incorporate some additional elements (like Hip-Hop beats), as long as the orchestral elements stay the focal element. Craft your pieces around a central motif, and create a sense of forward dynamics and movement by layering instrumentation in and out as they progress. We recommend avoiding anything that sounds overly busy as it could distract from a scene’s dialogue. Please be sure any virtual sounds or instruments you use are high-quality and modern.
Your submissions should be about 2 to 3 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned endings with good edit points are needed for this pitch. Do NOT copy the referenced example in any way shape or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture, and overall vibe. Broadcast Quality is needed.
This company offers an EXCLUSIVE 50/50 deal. Since this is an Exclusive deal, please be sure the material you submit for this pitch is NOT already signed with other Libraries or Catalogs. You’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share, and the Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher’s share. You must own or control your Master and Copyright to submit. Please send as many Instrumentals as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022.

It sounds like you grabbed all of the orchestral instruments and threw them into a massive cauldron of reverb. Short notes really benefit from a short reverb tail, and pizzicatos love an even shorter tail.
Also, and that is probably much more concerning, your tune feels like you threw paint on a canvas without having a clear idea in your mind of what you wanted to achieve, particularly the section with sax and piano I felt it makes no sense at all...

Re: "Flooty Tooty Bugle Boy" Dramedy Cue (S220727DR)
Hi there Michael and Sharon! I agree with everything that's already been said, but wanted to offer a couple of my own thoughts.
1) I think your main theme is good. I do think it gets repeated too many times. What you have in the first thirty seconds sounds like a good start to me. If it were my track, I would take the second statement of the melody (from about 19 to 34 seconds) and tack that on one more time at the end, but add more layers to it. Double that melody with some additional instruments and finish on a strong note!
2) Instrument choice has already been mentioned, but I would limit the instrumentation a bit more. I'm hearing some new instruments around 1:14 that make the track sound more disjunct. I think the percussion loop that comes in around that time is okay and does help to give the cue a final push. I would leave it in through the end.
3) Finally--and this might be a controversial thing to say--I would quantize the whole cue! To me, the overlapping parts are not tight, and I think that's what's making the whole cue feel random.
So if you take what you have in the first thirty seconds, add some of that to the end, compose a B section, and then make sure everything is on the grid, I think you'll have the makings of a better track. And then as it's been mentioned before, dial back the reverb and make sure it's set more or less the same for each instrument.
That's my two cents! Hope it can be helpful!

Thank you Brent! Really appreciate you taking the time for such a close listen and detailed comments.
The quantization is probably not all that controversial, would probably help -- followed by a bit of humanization here and there.
