Re: Feedback Request: Joyful, Emotionally Upbeat Acoustic Instrumental Cue
The lead guitar is so forward and busy, I'm hearing this as an instrumental song rather than an instrumental cue. I don't know how the screeners will respond, but I'm tending to think the way Michael is. Hope that helps.

Hi Alan, thanks a lot for listening and commenting. It sounds like it may be better to submit this without the melody guitar then. Or, would it make sense to submit each version? Thanks again for your help, Doug

If it helps at all Doug, with leads I had a mentor recommend I should always try to keep it like a nursery rhyme melody: Fewer notes... fewer rhythms... singable, simplistic... memorable... (And then I'd inevitably be told to dumb it down even more after I thought I'd achieved that haha, so it's not something I've mastered, but just some food for thought, I suppose?).
I think overall it's pretty on target, good composition, good mix!

Thanks a lot Matt! I appreciate the feedback, and advice. I’ll go ahead and re-play the main guitar melody, thanks again for listening and commenting. All the best to you.mattbee wrote: ↑Wed Aug 24, 2022 1:47 amIf it helps at all Doug, with leads I had a mentor recommend I should always try to keep it like a nursery rhyme melody: Fewer notes... fewer rhythms... singable, simplistic... memorable...
