This Library is looking for Mid-to-Up-Tempo Instrumentals that could be heard on a playlist with the following references we got directly from them:

"Blues Bounce" by Erik Vargas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2m5UNmieLE

"Night Bell (Arizona)" by Kerala Dust https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJlot9z5ao4

"Purple Hat" by SOFI TUKKER (from 0:51) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozG0O5DOmPk&t=51s

Although some of the references have vocals, please submit Instrumentals only for this request.

Please send them well-produced Hybrid Instrumentals that seamlessly combine elements of EDM and Blues music. Your submissions should have driving EDM beats, bluesy guitars, memorable motifs, and engaging arrangements. Instrumentation in the general ballpark of the references will suit your submissions best. Please craft your pieces around a central motif and layer instrumentation in and out as they progress to create dynamics, interest, and forward motion. Your production should be polished and any virtual sounds or instruments you use should be high-quality and current-sounding.

All submissions should be about 90 seconds to 2 minutes long, give or take.

Doug, I think these are cool and in the right spirit. Maybe a tad harsh in the upper mids though ?

Hello Doug,

These sound good to me, although I absolutely defer to the Cosmic Dolphin in all matters concerning high mid-harshness, and any other question involving the quality of a mix.

in a separate thread, I posted a track I plan to submit to the same listing, one on which I collaborated with the very same aforementioned Cosmic Dolphin, and there is a contrast between your tracks and the one I posted. The percentage mixture of blues to EDM within the tracks is different. I'd say yours have a higher percentage of blues to EDM, whereas the track I posted has that percentage reversed.

I don't know if there is a right or wrong percentage. I presume there is not.

Good luck with the submission!

Hey Mark, thanks a million for listening and for your feedback. I'll revisit the mix/mastering to remove some of that harshness. Thanks again!
