Hey friends, just wondering if someone could help me identify the genre of this instrumental I made. It's a passion project, but I was considering modifying/submitting the instro if the genre ever came through taxi. https://www.taxi.com/members/ocDl4_2KTS ... g-quixotic
I saw a dispatch listing that was asking for 60s/70s flute rock, but I think it's too different from that. Would appreciate any help, -Jonathan

Re: Genre identification help
I'm cracking up. I first misread the subject of your post as "Gender Identification Help"! (Sorry, can't help you there!)
Tough one. Words like "experimental", "avant garde", jazz fusion?, come to mind. I think it would be hard to find a Film/TV home for it as is with it's unsettling rhythm and section changes. Broken up into separate cues that keep the same mood/concept might be better. But you never know. Sometimes a sup needs something offbeat and different. It's a very cool track
. Just thinking about a home for it.
Best,
Casey

You know that’s exactly what I was thinking too Casey, I’ll just keep it as my pet passion project. It’s good to have your ears’ perspective, makes a lot of sense, thank you!
Now back to my gender studies!
