Hi I have tried so many times to attempt a CSI INVEST CUE but I never get it my song is called CHAINS OF CUSTODY ON MY SOUNDCLOUD HTTP://WWW.SOUNDCLOUD.COM/777RD
AM I ON THE RIGHT TRACK? RON CSI-Style INVESTIGATIVE TENSION INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a very successful boutique Music Library that's distributed by Universal for placements in Promotions, Advertising, and other TV Programming.
This is a catalog you want to be in! Please listen to the following references to get yourself in the general wheelhouse of what they need:
"3.3_5-vengeancep4ct.sib" by Mac Quayle
"Race to the Finish" by Kenneth E. Belcher
"Flinch Mob" by Bleeding Fingers
Quoting the Library: "Instruments should not sound like Omnisphere 2.0 - instead, we encourage composers to create some custom-made textures."
Send them in top-notch CSI-style Investigative Tension Instrumental Cues that evoke a growing sense of suspense and urgency to solve the crime! Your submissions should have pulsing rhythms, engaging motifs, and slick arrangements in the general wheelhouse of the references. Please craft your Cues around a singular motif, and layer instrumentation in and out as they progress to create a sense of forward motion, interest, and dynamics. Your productions should be polished, and any virtual sounds you use need to be high-quality and contemporary.
All submissions should be about 2 minutes long, give or take. Good edit points and non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings are required. Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, tone, texture, and overall vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.
IMPORTANT NOTE FROM THE LIBRARY: "Many composers throw in way too many ideas and are not focused on ONE CENTRAL MOTIF: they try to keep things interesting by adding new harmonic lines and elements (melodies, even improvisations, etc.) instead of focusing on the productions and textures." Put simply, keep it SIMPLE! We know that other Libraries like to receive music with complementary A and B sections, but this Library is NOT one of them – stick with ONE CENTRAL MOTIF per submission, please!
NOTE: This company has a strong preference for composers who understand music licensing companies and how typical music library deals are structured. Go ahead and submit to this opportunity if that's you! Also, if you're an experienced producer that can deliver the goods in this genre, they're especially interested in hearing what you can do!
This Music Library offers an EXCLUSIVE deal with a cool twist. You’ll keep 50% of all gross income generated by your music, plus you’ll get 100% of the Writer’s share income generated by your PRO. In other words, if the company licenses your music under a blanket deal, you’ll get income. If they license it for a YouTube video, you’ll get income. Not all music libraries pay you for things like that! The Publisher will get 100% of the Publisher’s share.
Because this is an Exclusive deal, the music you submit for this pitch cannot already be signed with other Libraries or Publishers. You must own or control 100% of your Master and Composition rights. Please send as many Instrumental Cues as you’d like, online or per CD. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than 11:59 PM (PDT) on Saturday, April 22nd, 2023. TAXI # S230422SC
TAXI # S230422SC

I really like this. Investigative feel to it. Well done interlude and back to main theme with lower notes. Yours is more orchestral than the samples they provided, may need less instruments and more created sounds. Although I really enjoyed the changes in the middle, the library asked for consistent theme and you might have gone away from it too much and too long for this listing.

I knew it was a return about 10 seconds in, didn't need to go much further after that. It's too busy, too soon, and is more orchestral than the references. The key to these listings is keeping it simple and slowly building.
Here is a link to a forward of mine for a listing that used several of the same references as this one. Give a listen to how it starts sparse and slowly builds, never getting too bombastic or heavy.

It looks like this same library is running another listing. Maybe you can make some changes to your track and resubmit?

[It is very relevant even though the title will make you think otherwise]
Dave is going to be very good at keeping Taxi from being complacent (he mentions that he wants to interview Craig Pilo for 52 cues), and all his podcasts are super informative and entertaining. I only wish that he'd make his taxi page public to allow us to peer even deeper into his work.
Ronnie, I looked for your cue but you must have taken it down? didn't see it.
